The Story Behind the Shutter
Sports photography isn't a job for me — it's how I honor the grind athletes put in every day.
My Story
From the Stands to the Sideline
Like many photographers, I began as a parent taking photos of my kids in sports, including soccer, volleyball, track & field, and more. Along the way, I began taking photos of my kids’ teammates and building my skills as an accomplished photographer.
Then a teammate said “Wow, these photos make me look like a real athlete.” That’s when I realized that I can make a difference in how athletes perceive themselves through my photography. First and foremost, I aspire to build confidence in young athletes. They put in years of hard work and dedication, sometimes a decade before they graduate high school. I am fortunate enough to capture their path, to share it with them, their teammates, and their family. They can carry these captured memories with them into adulthood and remember what contributed to their path to success.
